Chambers heads Jamaica's NACAC team

Ricardo Chambers - JAAA Jamaica National Trials 2006

National 400m champion Ricardo Chambers heads Jamaica's 17-member team to the 2006 North American, Central American, & Caribbean (NACAC) Under-23 Championships in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Chambers, the NCAA silver medallist and World Junior 200m silver medallist Anneisha McLaughlin are two of the leading members of the team, which will depart on July 5th for the July 7-9 Championships.

NCAA silver medallists, Clora Williams over 400m and 400m hurdler Bryan Steele are the other leading athletes included in the team, which will have Jerry Holness as it's head coach.

THE TEAM:

Men: Tywayne Buchanon, Ricardo Chambers, Andre Drummond, Leford Green, Kawyane Fisher, Isa Phillips, Raymond Richards, Wainard Talbert, Huntley Thomas, Jessie Saunders and Bryan Steele.

Women: Nyoka Cole, Anneisha McLaughlin, Zara Northover, Rose-Marie Whyte, Clora Williams and Nikiesha Wilson.

Officials: Dr. Winston Davidson (manager); Marion Russell (assistant manager).

Coaches: Jerry Holness (head coach), Oliver Heywood and Michael Dyke.
