PENN RELAYS –  USA vs. The World

The 111th staging of the Penn Relays, the world’s largest three day track & field meet, is set to start on Thursday, April 28th at the historic Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania.  In addition to the 29 high schools from Jamaica and a team representing the University of Technology that are slated to compete this year, four Jamaican relay teams will be competing in the USA vs. The World series of races. According to team manager, Donald Quarrie, the Jamaican team should be more than competitive and the plan is to win some if not all the events.  The team will put on a good show for all the Jamaicans who will be in attendance and keep the crowd cheering.

The following athletes will be representing Team Jamaica:

Women (4x100m & 4x 400m relays)

Tayna Lawrence, Aleen Bailey, Peta-Gaye Dowdie, Juliet Campbell, Novlene Williams, Nadia Davy, Sandie Richards, Moya Thompson, Ronetta Smith, Kenia Sinclair
